Vacuum bagging is a consolidation technique, not just a finishing step. The quality of your bag setup — the peel ply stack, breather layout, resin flow paths, and bag seal — directly determines laminate quality and resin content.
The basics: peel ply goes against the laminate for a clean release surface. Breather goes over that to distribute vacuum across the part. Bagging film seals the system. Release film, mold release, or tooling wax keeps parts from bonding to the tool.
MACC stocks each of these layers as individual consumables. For first-time vacuum baggers, our starter kits include everything needed for a basic wet layup or infusion setup, with process notes for each product.
